Congratulations to Urban Ulrych, Postdoc at RiskLab, on completing his habilitation in Finance and on his appointment as Assistant Professor in Quantitative Finance at the Academic Unit for Money and Finance, School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana, starting on 1 October 2026.

Congratulations to Jean-Loup Dupret, Postdoc at RiskLab, on his appointment as tenure track assistant professor in Actuarial Science and Mathematical Finance at the Quantitative Economics section of the University of Amsterdam starting on 1 September 2026.

Bálint Binkert successfully passed his oral doctoral thesis examination entitled: “Trustworthy artificial intelligence and deep learning in financial mathematics”. Congratulations!

Isidora Stojadinovic and Orlando Monsalve Rueda were awarded the 2026 Walter Saxer Prize in recognition of their outstanding Master’s theses.

Mathias Lindholm (Stockholm University), Ronald Richman (InsureAI and University of the Witwatersrand), Andreas Tsanakas (City St George's, University of London) and Mario Wüthrich (RiskLab) received the RGA RE (Reinsurance Group of America) "Best Published Paper" award for their paper “A multi-task network approach for calculating discrimination-free insurance prices” at the occasion of the Annual Convention of the Actuarial Society of South Africa on 5./6. November 2025.

Ronald Richman (InsureAI and University of the Witwatersrand), Salvatore Scognamiglio (University of Naples Parthenope) and Mario Wüthrich (RiskLab) received the Joint Colloqium "Best Paper Award 2025" of the International Actuarial Association (IAA) for their paper "The credibility transformer".
